The value for money at Sonex was excellent, with two rooms for the price of one and plenty of space for our family. The hotel's location was convenient, within walking distance of the town and monastery, and the staff were pleasant and kind.
The hotel breakfast menu could be improved by offering more affordable options.

We stayed at Sonex for 3 nights while visiting the town and monastery. The hotel is quiet, with spacious double rooms and en suite bathrooms. The staff were kind and helpful, and having a separate car park for guests was a plus. We got 2 rooms for the price of one, so there was plenty of space for our family. The hotel has a charming old-style atmosphere and is located in a quiet neighborhood. It's within walking distance of the town and monastery, and there is a shopping center nearby. The rooms were clean, the shower was decent, and the selection for breakfast was very good.
Can recommend this hotel.

On-site restaurant: The hotel's restaurant might be closed on weekends, but during the week they serve the most amazing take-away meals that will make you forget about dining in. It's like having your own personal chef preparing a feast just for you!
Restaurant closed on weekends: Unfortunately, the restaurant is closed on weekends.

The on-site restaurant was a culinary delight, serving the most delectable take-away meals between noon and 5 pm, oh what an exquisite gastronomic experience. I had the privilege of indulging in cycling around the enchanting surroundings of the hotel and the nearby Sanctuary of Black Madonna.
Oh, how I adored climbing the stairs with my hefty suitcases, especially without the assistance of an elevator. Such a charming way to start and end my stay.

Located near the town and monastery, this hotel offers a quiet neighborhood to explore the nearby attractions. The rooms are clean and equipped with all the basic facilities, including a decent shower and free parking. With a warm-old timey décor, this hotel has a pleasant atmosphere. The breakfast includes a wide range of options, and the portions are big enough to satisfy the hunger.
The absence of an air conditioner or ventilator makes it difficult to catnap during hot days.

Shopping center nearby. Easy navigation and free parking. Walking distance to town and monastery. Quiet neighborhood. Decent shower. Very good breakfast selection.

Great value for money made our city break an affordable one. The hotel's location was perfect! Being able to walk to the center of town and monastery was a big plus. Also, the quiet neighborhood gave us a good night's rest. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the shower was decent. We also appreciated the free parking.
We found breakfast to be a bit pricey when compared to restaurant prices. Additionally, we stayed in a family room, but the second bed was small and uncomfortable. It felt hard and like it was in a corridor. We also wished there was an air conditioner or ventilator. As the hotel was located next to a street, opening the window wasn't a good option. Finally, the restaurant was closed on weekends, but when it was open, the portions were big, the food was tasty, and the prices were good value for money.

Great value for money! The location was perfect with easy access to the city center and local attractions. The breakfast selection was amazing with a variety of options to choose from, enough to start your day. The staff was very welcoming and provided us with helpful tips and recommendations for places to visit and eat.
The rooms were a bit too warm for our liking, and we would have appreciated an air conditioner or ventilator, especially during hot weather. the restaurant staff struggled with English and misinterpreted our order, resulting in us paying for more food than we expected.
